The water pump in your vehicle keeps all that coolant flowing freely. If it begins to fail, overheating problems are inevitable. Don’t take a chance on doing damage to engine internals by not replacing your water pump.

This has been a common problem amongst most German vehicles. Water Pump failure can lead to your vehicle making an unnecessary trip to the repair shop. If your pump stops working, coolant temperatures rise rapidly and can overheat the engine, leading to head gasket or even piston ring failure. This is a great preventative maintenance item when doing any type of timing belt replacement.

Some water pumps don’t come with thermostats. If yours does not, be sure to browse ECS’s website to choose a stock or low temperature thermostat. Also, coolant loss when doing the water pump replacement is inevitable, so be sure to get some factory approved coolant shipped to your door.
