Description
Timing belts are toothed drive belts that transmit rotational force from the crankshaft to the camshaft. Unlike standard accessory belts, they also synchronize valve opening to firing order and crankshaft angle during combustion strokes. Timing belt replacement intervals are listed in the vehicle maintenance schedule or in an aftermarket service guide. A broken timing belt can cause catastrophic damage in some engines; periodic belt replacement is recommended to avoid costly repairs.
ECS has timing belts and related parts like tensioners, seals, guides, and rollers, available individually and in service kits for specific engines; from original equipment and name brand aftermarket suppliers.
