The throttle body controls the amount of air that flows in to the engines combustion chamber. When the gas pedal is pushed down or released the butterfly valve opens and closes. This process controls the speed of the engine and vehicle. Symptoms of a bad throttle body are poor throttle response, lack of power, jerking, and idle surging.
Replace it immediately to prevent any serious damage to your engine.
