The Cometic MLS gasket consists of three layers of stainless steel, chosen for its enhanced strength, rebound capability, and resistance to corrosion. Both sides of the outer layers feature embossed designs and are coated with a fluoroelastomer rubber-based material (Viton). This coating is engineered to withstand challenging sealing environments, varying load conditions, and diverse surface finishes. Notably, the Viton coating exhibits heat resistance up to 250C or 482F.
