EBC sport rotors are designed to draw cool air into the contact area to reduce braking temperatures and fading commonly experienced with stock brake components during a spirited drive. The dimpled holes break down surface gases when braking from speed but do not weaken the rotor cross section, reducing the risk of the rotor sustaining a crack over a period of time .
