Description
The accessory drive belt on your Mercedes-Benz is responsible for driving all of the accessories on your engine. If this belt fails, you will lose drive power to your alternator, water pump, power steering pump and A/C compressor.
Being as this belt is so crucial to the proper operation of so many vehicle systems, it is important that it be inspected regularly and replaced at the first signs of excessive wear, which can include cracking, stretching or a squealing.
